Rosser Studio is a landscape design practice based in Durham, North Carolina. Founded by Locke Rosser, the studio works across residential and select institutional projects with a focus on naturalistic planting design, resilient Southeast native perennials, grasses, and layered systems that balance structure, ecology, and seasonal change.

The studio’s work is grounded in sustainable landscape strategies, including meadow systems, stormwater-solutions, and rock and crevice gardens. Each project is approached as a long-term composition—where performance, adaptation, and clarity over time are prioritized over immediate visual effect.

Rosser Studio’s design perspective is informed by extensive travel and study across China, India, the Netherlands, and Jordan, as well as hands-on experience with the garden team at Babylonstoren Estate in South Africa’s Western Cape. These experiences continue to shape a cross-disciplinary approach that integrates planting design, site conditions, and cultural context into cohesive landscape systems.
