Our process
GETTING TO KNOW YOUR SPACE
We start with a visit to your property. Together we'll walk the site, talk through what's working and what isn't, and start dreaming up possibilities. Along the way, we'll take note of sun patterns, drainage, soil, and existing plantings — the details that shape a design that actually thrives.
Consultations & Site visits are billed at $125/hour, due at the time of the visit.
Afterward, we'll put together a short summary of what we observed and discussed, along with a proposal covering scope, timeline, and fees for the design phase. Once that's signed, we get to work.
designing your landscape
Using the measurements and notes from our visit, we build a base plan of your existing site, then start layering in design ideas — always prioritizing native and regionally-appropriate plants that support the local ecosystem as much as they beautify it.
As the design comes together, we'll check in and refine based on your feedback. When it's ready, you'll receive a full plant list with photos, sizes, and quantities for everything we've selected.
reviewing the design
We'll walk you through the finished design, in person or over Zoom, and talk through phasing options if you'd rather tackle the project in stages based on budget or timing. You're welcome to source plants yourself, or we can handle procurement for you. Your final plans and documents will be sent once the final design fee is received.
estimate and installation
We will work with you to make an estimate that is tailored to your budget and recommended phases. We are happy to take on installation of larger planting jobs and certain hardscape elements.
In the case that a project is too large for us to install, we can connect you with local trusted landscape contractors suited to your project's scope. If you'd like us to stay involved, we can manage that process for you — gathering estimates, coordinating with contractors, guiding plant placement, and keeping the project on track. Project management is billed at $125/hour.
Once everything is in the ground, we'll settle any remaining fees for project management, plant procurement, and installation oversight.
Garden coaching
A focused site visit to walk the property, discuss goals, identify opportunities, and create a clear next step.
